Fidelity Bank recently donated $15,000 to  Outreach – Center for Community Resources through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Outreach is an approved Educational Improvement Organization through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to support Scranton School District elementary, middle, and high school students.

Outreach will use this funding to support afterschool programming for K-12 students in Scranton from families facing economic challenges. Outreach provides tutoring and innovative programming that enhances STEM. Outreach provides hands-on workshops and demonstrations with a different focus and delivery approach using materials demonstrating the connections between art and science. The students are challenged to engage in critical thinking, math, and engineering, which are embedded in each educational activity.

Outreach – Center for Community Resources improves the lives of almost 5,000 individuals each year with workforce, education, and family development programs that support individuals as they navigate life’s challenges.

Fidelity Bank was founded in 1902. Since its founding, Fidelity Bank has committed to “green” business practices and improving the community it serves. Fidelity Bank is constantly growing, innovating, and striving to deliver the best in banking.
