Outreach recently established parent resource centers in the lobbies of several Scranton elementary schools. These centers are regularly stocked with valuable parenting tips and community resource information. Outreach’s team also hosts parent-child activity stations at Back-to-School fairs and other school events. The Scranton School District-Outreach partnership also links families to the Parents as Teachers program and other services that strengthen continuity of learning for young children who feed into the district.
Outreach’s recent outreach efforts also included piloting the Incredible Years® program in neighboring counties and introducing a special Incredible Years Autism/Language Delays series for parents of young children with autism. The classes offered a unique opportunity for parents to role-play social development skills to help their children.
